Energy Star Homes/Home Energy Ratings
New York's Energy Smart Homes program is widely recognized for moving the building industry beyond the energy code and includes independent verification. We have found that most builders are "most of the way there", and of course we as Home Energy Raters are here to help initiate you and to do the verifications.

To sign up as an Energy Star Builder, follow the "four step" process listed on the Builder specific web site. We hope you will choose Airtight Services/Airtight Solutions as your Rater (it is one of the steps). As Home Energy Raters, we facilitate the process of getting your homes certified, including the required energy audits and paperwork. Give us a call if you need more direction!

Builders Challenge
The latest rendition of the Energy Star program is called the Builders Challenge. This new program is encouraging more efficient homes by promoting the EnergySmart Home Scale. We are Verifiers for this program and can help get your homes into this program as well.

Green Home Certifications
If you are interested in the NAHB Green Buildings Certification program, we are Certified Verifiers and as such can help with that growing program.
